Halflings vs Bayourks - Possible Book Cover
Hey guys!
Here is a little sneak preview of a canvas I have been working on for the last week ( feel as though it's been a life time, thank fork it's finished or I would have gone insane!) This wont be the final picture, as I'm getting it pro photographed on Wednesday, but from my crappy phone camera, what do you think?

I feel really sorry for that lone archer firing away at the Forest Troll :D
I like it!
But, just to be a pain, I think something closer to this sketch you did would be better. The figures are larger, dominating the image and it reminds me of the dynamic and powerfully atmospheric images of Fantasy & 40k.

hairy - Well you would like the sketch better wouldn't you? Just to be awkward ;) Haha! Just joking mate, there is a method behind the madness. Basically I wanted the figures to play less of a roll in the composition than most fantasy battle scenes, and to look more at the surrounding landscape - i.e the Arcstorm coming over. Also, there is lots of empty-ish space to put the logo for when I use it as the book cover... I'll try and make mock-ups soon!

Not sure, am torn between options 2 & 3...

This is a gorgeous piece of art, but for me it doesn't work for the cover. Because of the Skirmish nature of Arkworlde, so you don't have the huge horde of troops to carry off a wide shot, this fails to convey much sense of jeapordy.
For the cover, you really need close ups of the main characters, fiurther emphasizing the skirmish nature of the game.
This would be nice somewhere inside the book, though.
